Hi, I'm Daniel Parrott. I'm 22 years old and have been programming for about ten years. During this time, I've written about 200,000 lines of code, mostly in the C++ language. I've worked with several APIs, including TAPI, SAPI, and DirectX. Also, a fair number of my programs use MFC. I have also written for other platforms, including Macintosh and Linux.
Programming is just one hobby of mine. I also hold an active interest in astrophotography, and have a folder of images here if you are interested in viewing some of my work. One other hobby is scanning; for that, I use a Uniden BCT-15.
I am also a four-time finalist of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. All of my science fair projects were based off of programs that I wrote. The first program demonstrated steganography, and allowed users to conceal information within pictures. The second was a demonstration of a Java-based chat program. The third program was one that used system-wide macros in conjunction with the speech API to help the visually-impaired navigate the computer. Finally, the fourth and final program was basiCommunication. It won 1st place in the IEEE Computer Science award at the 2006 fair.
Currently, I am a senior at the University of Oklahoma studying computer science. If you are interested in giving me a job offer, my résumé is available upon request. I can also be reached at the following email address:
